Peter France Farrier was born at Newcastle upon Tyne in 1898. He was married to Louisa Farrier and lived at 63 Langley Terrace, Jarrow.
Formerly boatswain of the Garfield, he joined Deptford as her carpenter.
Peter France Farrier was killed as a result of enemy action, by reason of a torpedo attack carried out on SS Deptford from U-38. He was 41.
In 1940, his estate was valued at £68 12s., about £5,390 today.
